For the ultimate adventurer we offer vertical caving experiences, abseiling into huge chambers and traversing above underground waterfalls. These are truly epic experiences hidden underground. We will use ropes to descend and either ladders or SRT to ascend. The experiences are all tailored to your requirements.

Caving trip into Carlswalk Cave near Eyam

Bagshawe Cavern

We abseil into the dungeon, a deep, dark forbidding hole. We fix our ropes and swing into the air above the shaft. While abseiling down, we wonder how many feet of airspace will be above our head when we crawl through the water into the next chamber!

Giant’s Hole

Varied and interesting! Small hardy groups looking for the most adventure the Peak District has to offer can enquire about the “Giants Round Trip” while families and larger groups can experience underground abseils and ladder climbs without going too far or too hard!

Vertical caving trip into Carlswalk Cave near Eyam

Carlswark Cavern

Our adventure starts with an exciting abseil from the surface through a vertical shaft, to gain access to a labyrinth of small underground tunnels that go on for miles. There are fossils at every turn and outstanding natural features in the limestone. Watch your head on the stalactites!

A complex, sporting trip with lots to explore. Descending vertical shafts and cascades, we follow an underground river over waterfalls for several hours. We will return up vertical shafts using ladders and rope, or SRT. A wet and exciting trip and the most extreme in the Peaks suitable for novices.

We have many more caving experiences, suitable for groups of all sizes in Derbyshire. These are a little less demanding but still very exciting.

The caves venues in the Peak District are close to Castleton, Buxton and Bradwell.

Giants Hole or P8 Jackpot
These caves are close to Castleton, only 30 minutes from Sheffield and approximately 1 hour from the M1, Manchester and the M6.

Bagshawe Cavern
Bagshawe Cavern is close to Bradwell only 30 minutes from Sheffield and approximately 40 minutes from the M1.

Carlswark Cavern
Calswark Cavern is near to Stoney Middleton, Hathersage, Bakewell, Buxton and Eyam. This region is only 30 minutes from Sheffield and the M1.
