Stanage Edge

Stanage-Edge
The finest of all gritstone edges! 4km of climbs 20 minutes from Sheffield. One of the best things about Stanage Edge is the range of routes available, depending on your ability, determination and desire we can do pretty much anything! Whether you want to take it easy, or someone you know wants to swing about like a monkey (don’t worry, we all know someone like that!) then here is the place to do it! It’s not just the quality of climbing here that will take your breath away but the views and the history surrounding you are guaranteed to inspire and kindle a yearning for more.

We can start at the right hand side of Stanage Edge and as the day progresses we can try some harder routes, maybe a spot of abseiling if you fancy it or we can go for a walk across the heather, explore Robin Hoods cave and talk to some of the local old men of the hills that frequent the crag and who never fail to impress with their delicate, precise and powerful climbing.

Burbage Rocks

Burbage-Rocks
This is a south west facing wall of rock columns overlooking the Burbage Valley. Many climbing opportunities here in this peaceful outcrop with outstanding views. Approach is a leisurely short walk on an easy path running parallel to the buttresses. A grand setting with much to try!

The Roaches

The-Roaches
The Roaches is a prominent rocky ridge of wind carved gritstone, displaying grandeur as it can be seen for miles around perched above Tittesworth Reservoir and the town of Leek. Excellent climbs for all levels over two tiers of rock in a perfect setting. For wildlife lovers, if you are lucky you may see wallabies!
