Peak District Charity Challenges
Tailor-made charity events in Derbyshire
For charity and for fun – exciting ways to raise lots of money!
Abseiling from buildings
Urban abseiling is a great publicity stunt and unlike more usual charity events. It means there’s more chance people will dig deep to help your cause. Events are always bespoke and privately run. Name any building in Derbyshire and we’ll bring the ropes to you, for any group size at any time.
The Great Cloud Walker Challenge
4km paddle, 30km hike, 100ft abseil. Defeat the Legend of the Green Knight. A thrilling canoe across the reservoir, a hike along a lofty ridge line between jagged gritstone outcrops before a huge abseil journeying into the Green Chapel, just like Sir Gawain.
The Tissington Thrasher
12km walk, 35km cycle, 100ft abseil. Rugged landscapes, dramatic chasms, wild rivers and verdant valleys. This challenge has it all. The highlight is surely the famous Millers Dale Viaduct abseil, descending freely over 100ft. You won’t forget this one in a hurry.
45km cycle, 100ft abseil, 7km paddle. A mad dash from Hartington to Matlock. Journey down old railway lines, through tunnels and limestone valleys, abseil 100ft from Millers Dale Viaduct before paddling the beautiful River Derwent to the Derwent Rapids.
Peak to Peak Mega Challenge
33km off-road cycle, 100ft abseil, 3km canyoning. Experience the very best the Peak District has to offer on this three-stage endurance test. Spend 12-14 hours ascending 2,987m. In total, you’ll travel 62km by cycle, foot and ropes to explore the wonders of the Peak.
Edale Skyline Challenge
The highest trails and summits in the Peak District. A classic circular route taking you on a grand tour of the Edale Valley. 21 miles of tracks and trails and nearly 1,400m climbing, this challenge showcases some of the Peak District’s best landscapes.
Peak District 9 Edges
A spectacular tour of the Peak District’s best views. Conquer the most iconic gritstone edges in this classic challenge. In 21 miles of walking, you walk the banks of the Derwent Reservoir, see the world-famous Stanage Edge and finish in the quaint village of Baslow.
Kinder Scout Night Hike
A guided tour of Kinder Scout by torchlight. Rely on your guide, torchlight and the light from a million stars as you take on Kinder Scout. Explore pock-marked lunar landscapes and reach Kinder Downfall before descending Jacob’s Ladder. What will you see in the shadows?
