Trip Grading

Twin Otter
This trip is considered to be challenging. We spend time at higher altitudes than you are probably used to. We go to fairly remote regions of Nepal where infrastructure and services are limited. Mountain biking features some technical descents and you should be confident as a rider. We always have 2 guides to cater for riders of different abilities and speeds.

We run mountain bike training in Yorkshire and the Peak District. If you feel like you’d benefit from a little coaching from an expert, we will give you a complimentary place on one of our skills courses when you book this trip with us.

The rivers we raft vary from 3+ to 4+ and while no experience is necessary you must be comfortable and able to swim in water higher than head height. A reasonable degree of fitness will make this trip more enjoyable.

Why don’t we use domestic flights in Nepal?

All airlines in Nepal are on the EU blacklist. This means they don’t meet international safety standards. Lost Earth Adventures is passionate about giving every one of our customers the best possible experience but we will never compromise your safety to do so. Instead of domestic flights, we use private 4x4s to drive you to the start of your trek. You may see searing vistas, traditional villages and lush rice paddies along the way.
