Welcome to Kathmandu, a city of chaotic charm! With a dizzying array of ancient temples and Holy Sadhus, vibrant markets and rickshaws, Kathmandu is a kaleidoscope of senses that will capture the imagination of any traveler!
You will have the afternoon free to explore the hidden back alleys and bustling markets! In the evening we will have dinner at a local restaurant.

Feel you can fly, as you leap off the 160m suspension bridge high above the Bhote Kosi, at least until you feel the air rushing past your ears! The bungee jump and canyon swing are not for the feint hearted and will definitely challenge you. Alternatively you can stick a little closer to the ground and abseil, jump and slide down steep canyon walls and through waterfalls.

*Accommodation, food and canyoning is included in tour price, however any additional activities participated in (canyon swing, bungee jumping, etc.) is not included and must be paid on location.

The first day will be spent accustoming you to the waters of the Sun Kosi and preparing for the second days trip on the powerful Bhote Kosi.
The river gathers speed, depth and volume as it heads down from its source in Tibet and thunders its way through the Himalaya and into Nepal. We will raft the 3+ rapids of the Sun Kosi, which is reputed to be one of the top ten rafting trips in the world!

Accommodation is at our secluded riverside camp, surrounded by lush jungle and a white sand beach. It is the perfect place to relax after a hard day of rafting.
You can choose to either raft the Bhote Kosi or paddle yourself in a kayak on the Sun Kosi. You can speak with our instructors and make your choice when we are out there.

The morning will be free, spent in Kathmandu. Pick up some fresh baked treats or grab a cuppa from one of the rooftop terraces. The afternoon will be spent in Patan. It is a city standing still in time, and seeping with rich cultural history, yet bustling with the energy of today. A place best explored by foot, we’ll walk the cobbled streets with over 600 stupas whilst discovering ancient pagoda temples. See why local people still call it by its original name, Lalitpur – the City of Beauty.
Day 7 – Drive to Pokhara
We will drive to Pokhara on winding roads, surrounded by the stunning mountain views of Nepal. Arriving in the afternoon you will have the chance to explore a little of the lakeside town and relax before the excitement of the following day.

A short and stunning flight will take us up to the remote town of Jomsom. On route you will be able to see amazing views of Annapurna (8091m) and Dhaulagiri (8167m), the world’s 7th and 10th highest peaks.
Once we land you will still be an incredible 3700 m above sea level and will continue by jeep through the rugged mountain landscapes and deep into the heart of the Annapurna’s. Here we will begin our downhill mountain biking adventure.

Accommodation for this part of the trip is in specially selected teahouses, run by locals in the villages we pass. In the evenings you will be able to experience true Nepali hospitality, trying authentic local cuisine, relaxing with a beer or a warming yak butter tea.

Back in Pokhara and you will soar high into the blue skies. Up and away into the ether paragliding across open valleys, with the awe inspiring Annapurna as your backdrop. This is one of the best places to paraglide in the world.
Once you have come back to earth, you are free to explore the beautiful town that is Pokhara. Gorge yourself silly (on food, not rock gorges!), and try out as many local delicacies as you can, wander up to the World Peace Pagoda or simply relax in a boat on the Phewa Tal.

Unfortunately it’s the end of this adventure. Lost Earth Adventures group services end after breakfast. Transfers to Kathmandu airport are complimentary. See you next time!
Or stay an extra night and…
Motorbike through the Doorstep of the Himalaya
Unleash your inner motor head and feel the freedom of the open road. The riding around here is amazing. Seeking out the back-roads surrounding Pokhara, you will find rarely visited villages in the foothills and valleys surrounding the town. This is a biker’s haven with winding roads and striking views.
*Motorcycling is not provided by Lost Earth Adventures and must be paid for on location.

Additional Information
You will be taking a morning drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Please make sure your flight back to your home country is after 4pm in the afternoon or early the next morning, we can easily arrange an extra night in Kathmandu for you.
Please make sure that your travel insurance covers you for the event of missing your flight home. Schedules are hard to keep in Nepal, due to the nature of the terrain. Roads get blocked and small aircraft will not fly in bad weather. Generally we allow enough leeway in all our itineraries but you never know what will happen in the developing world!
If you would like to extend your trip you can join the group on the 16-day Nepal Xtreme which coincides with this trip.
