Our mountain bike instructors have been guiding in the Peak District for many years and are passionate about sharing their hidden gems and secret trails with you. For our guides, it’s not just about being qualified and holding a ticket (though they’re some of the best!), for us mountain biking is in our blood, and we thrive to ride. Any skills coaching or guided ride with us, is one you’ll never forget. Our courses are fun, full of knowledge and insight into your style, form and technique and tailored to you, whether you’re an individual wanting private tuition or in a group. We aim to make you get the most out of your riding by playing on your strong points and making sure to get rid of any nasty habits you may have picked up along the way.

Here are just a few examples of where we’d take you:

Cycling around Lady Bower
The riding around Ladybower Reservoir is varied and overall a fantastic choice, whether you are looking for an easy day of biking, to a long day of technical, heart pounding adventure! Our guides know the ins and outs of the areas and can adapt the ride as the day progresses. If you’re feeling bold, we may even tackle “The Beast,” an infamous black route that beckons riders from across the country. Mountain biking starts from Hope or Bamford.

Mam Tor

Cycling in Edale - Mam Tor
A superb intermediate ride for cross-country riders, looking to get away from the crowds and be spoiled with stunning views at the same time. We don’t often run in to too many riders on this trail, which suits us just fine! The ride takes us high on a steep sided ridge with huge views across the Peak District. The trail also features a short section on an old disused mountain road that crumbled years ago from a landslide. The finale is host to a great technical descent, before we reach the country alehouses of Castleton. This ride can also start in Edale or Hope.

Stanage Edge

Mountain Biking Near Hathersage
This ride takes us to the hillsides surrounding Hathersage, and around and on top of the craggy gritstone outcrops jutting out from the heather. This is a great ride to combine with a day of rock climbing, as we are close to Britain’s most famous and iconic climbing venue – Stanage Edge. This is a popular option for groups looking for a multi-activity adventure in the Peak District. This can also be combined with gorge walking, gill scrambling, rock climbing, abseiling or hiking for one unforgettable weekend – Derbyshire is an adventurer’s playground.
