Our Hotel in Kathmandu
Our favourite hotel and place to stay in Nepal
The Kathmandu Guest House is a definite favourite of Lost Earth Adventures and has been our long standing first choice for tours to Nepal. Whenever we find ourselves in Kathmandu we always chose to stay here and we now include it in the trip prices.
Kathmandu Guest House

The hustle and bustle of Kathmandu is part of its charm, but every now and then we all need to step away from it. Just a stone’s throw away from the action, guests can relax in the hotel gardens, and enjoy the serene comfort of an expansive and lush landscaped garden complete with a rocky waterfall and an abundance of flowers, trees and birds.
All the rooms are large and spacious, with en-suite bathrooms and face onto the gardens. This not only offers stunning views, but also the peace and quiet needed to ensure a good night’s sleep in preparation for the next leg of your tour.
If the Kathmandu Guest House is full at the time of booking, we will use hotels of a similar standard and location.
Sustainability in Nepal
If you know anything about Lost Earth Adventures, you’ll know that sustainable travel and responsible tourism is at the heart of what we do. Kathmandu Guest House lives by the same ethos. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Kathmandu Guest House takes great responsibility in conserving energy, water and protecting the environment.
The hotel is also part of the Karna Positive Trust which aims to build a stronger Nepal, while also being involved in lots of charitable causes such as helping to restore Kanti Oncology Ward, a centre for child cancer patients. They’ve provided relevant work training to help trafficked girls gain jobs, offer subsidised places at their Residency Training Institution to underprivileged students, and also run the KGH Motor Rally to help The Nepal Cancer Society.
Impressively, Kathmandu Guest House are a great ambassador of Nepali culture and heritage. They support projects relating to the preservation of Newari and Buddhist traditions and have even established The Museum of Nepali Art (MONA), a collection of the country’s finest traditional and contemporary art.
