Edale Skyline Challenge
Take to the hills to the skyline surrounding Edale!
Rewards include: pleasantly aching legs and a fantastic sense of achievement.
Take in the Dark Peak’s highest ridges, trails and summits. A classic circular route, it covers over 21 miles and ascends almost 1400m! The route is fantastically varied and takes you over rocky, grassy and flagstone trails. To make sure it is really an authentic experience, a little bit of the world-famous Peak District Bog is also thrown in for good measure.
Your exertions will all be worthwhile when you are looking down into at postcard views of the picturesque Edale Valley, and have the whole route laid out around you in a panorama from atop Rushup Edge.
The route starts and ends in Edale, convenient for both accommodation and celebratory dinners. During the course of the day, you will conquer Ringing Roger, Win Hill, Mar Tor and Brown Knoll, and enjoy superb views over the Derwent reservoirs and beyond. Undoubtedly, this challenge has everything you will need for a superb day out!
Completing the Edale Skyline Challenge for charity?
Many people complete the Edale Skyline Challenge to raise money for charity. If this is your plan, we’ll be with you all the way! Most charities have sponsorship packs that will help support you – including offering a sponsorship form to track fundraising. If you don’t receive this, Lost Earth Adventures can send you one of our generic sponsorship forms. For more details, including fundraising tips, visit our charity challenges page.
It’s a tailor-made challenge, so people are often more likely to donate for your cause. As with all of our charity challenges, the event will be privately run by us, so your charitable cause takes centre-stage. You can open up the event to others if you’d prefer.
