Outdoor activity
Our calendar of events is the perfect way to plan your next adventure to the Western Yorkshire Dales. We’ve set a series of activity days and courses throughout the warmer months and school holidays, so it’s as easy as simply choosing your experience, booking your activity and showing up.

Hiking adventures last all day and the other activities last for 3 hours, we provide all of the safety and technical equipment. The activities we run are suitable for all abilities, all we ask is that you are over 7 years old. We need at least 4 people on each session for it to run so please check with us that the session is guaranteed before making transport or accommodation arrangements. Read more about the activities we offer in the Western Yorkshire Dales:

We can run any of our courses or activities as private guided sessions for you and your group, giving you the freedom and flexibility to make your day your own. We can run these experiences at any time that’s convenient for you, please see the bottom of this page for more details.

Important – Yorkshire 3 Peaks

After ten years of operating Yorkshire 3 Peaks events and listening to your feedback we have decided to operate two speeds of this iconic challenge.

Gentle Pace: On the events labelled Gentle Pace we are aiming to just complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge and not race around in any particular time.

Sub 12-hour: On the sub 12-hour events we are aiming to complete the circuit in 12-hours. If you are holding the group up and the others are dead set on success, you may be asked to give up at one of the road junctions, where a pick up can be arranged. Pick up’s are possible either from a local taxi firm for around £20 or a train is also possible at one point. Please only take this option if walking at a nice steady pace over rough ground for 12-hours does not phase you.

Important – Canyoning

Please note that if there is heavy rain before the canyoning takes place we may have to cancel the canyon trip but we will provide you with another activity. Due to the nature of this being a high volume canyon, the water levels have to be between certain levels for it to be safe. Please see our Terms and Conditions for details.
