Private Expeditions for Individuals and Groups

7-Day Suggested Itinerary – Can be Tailored to Your Needs

/Summit-of-Mt-Toubkal
Touch down into Marrakech, Morocco’s Red City. The city is known for its colourful markets, bustling souqs and Jemaa el-Fna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and where all the action is! Spend the day wandering amongst the buzzing crowds surrounded by aromatic spices and exotic fruits, before embarking on your journey into mountains.

Just a stone’s throw away from Marrakech is the High Atlas Mountains, home to picturesque and tranquil Berber villages and North Africa’s highest peak, Mt Toubkal. We’ll refresh ourselves in the village of Imlil, indulging in fresh mint teas and mouthwatering tagines before our adventure into the High Atlas starts.

Climb into the heart of Morocco, trekking through a verdant valley, past rivers and waterfalls until one last uphill push to our mountain refuge, home for the night. Awake under the stars for the final rocky ascent up Mt Toubkal. As you scale your way up to the non-technical summit, watch the skies come to life with a feeling of achievement, knowing you’ve conquered North Africa’s highest summit!

Trip Grading

Toubkal is considered to be moderate/demanding. We trek into a fairly remote part of Morocco at higher altitudes than you are maybe used to. There are a variety of steep ascents and descents, and we sometimes trek for up to 8 hours per day. As with most things a certain degree of fitness will make this trip more enjoyable.

As always on our treks there is plenty of staff and we can accommodate everyone’s trekking pace. We appreciate that in a group there will be many different speeds of walker and we don’t ever want you to feel like you are holding up a group or being held up. Having plenty of guides and porters allow for us to change itineraries and pace easily and it is very easy to accommodate every trekker.
