Canyoning and Gorge Scrambling in Ingleton

The Best Canyoning trip in England

Western Yorkshire Dales

Ghyll Scrambling Ingleton

The highest jumps and the biggest chutes in the country

Without a doubt, this is the most exhilarating canyoning experience in the country! Situated in the western Yorkshire Dales, near to the stunning Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, and hidden amongst an ancient oak woodland lies an epic adventure. Are you ready to take the plunge and tackle Beezley Falls?

The Beezley Falls canyoning experience can be done as a full day, taking on the lower and upper sections or as a half day, where you can choose which section you’d like to do.

Beezley Falls – Extreme Upper Section

Gorge Walking Western Yorkshire Dales
Big jumps, big rapids, big chutes, huge adrenaline. The upper section is the most extreme canyoning experience we offer and the best in England. Jump into the ravine and experience 8 metre high cliff jumps, smooth rock chutes and an epic zipline that sends you descending across a waterfall into a deep, refreshing plunge pool below. Please note, our highly experienced guides will manage all ability levels, at any point the obstacles or challenges can be avoided by skipping onto the trail so people can observe if they prefer.

Beezley Falls – Lower Section

scrambling up a gorge
Perfect for families, schools, youth groups and those wanting to experience a unique and fun adventure in the great outdoors!

Within the lower and more accessible gorge, we will explore up to the mighty Snow Falls. Here we can marvel from a safe vantage point at the stunning beauty of the flows cascading down this 12m waterfall. We will delve deeper into the lower reaches of the gorge; scrambling, wading and swimming with numerous places to slide and jump into the churning water.

While canyoning you will be provided with all of the essential safety equipment, including: wet suit, buoyancy aid and helmet while being expertly guided by our safe and experienced guides. All skill levels catered to.

Whilst included in the gorge walking, the jumping, climbing and abseiling are optional and there are options to walk around these obstacles. There are no tight squeezes or caves to go through.

We tailor our sessions to your aims and objectives, so whether you’re looking to try out canyoning for the first time or you’re an experienced adrenaline junkie looking for your next thrill, we’ll make our gorge walking and canyoning sessions fit you perfectly.

After boulder hopping your way up the canyon why not continue the adventure with a half-day of rock climbing, abseiling or caving?

Stag and Hen Parties or Group Bookings

Canyoning is incredibly popular with stag or hen parties, school and youth groups, team building and other large groups looking for something different and exciting. To make things easy as we know large groups can be difficult to organise, all we initially require to book your date is a £100 deposit.

The final balance is not due until 30 days before the activity takes place. Deposits are non-refundable but the date can be changed with 30 days notice, subject to availability.

At Lost Earth Adventures we take safety very seriously. We have full public and product liability insurance, write risk assessments for every activity we offer and use highly experienced and qualified instructors with an excellent client to staff ratio. Lost Earth Adventures also holds an AALA license for the provision of canyoning. This is the highest accreditation that is available from the British Government and means that we meet the high standards set for providing adventurous activities. Read more about our safety policy.

Children under 18 and older than 7 are most welcome to join us gorge walking and canyoning but please let us know when booking how many and what ages they are. We have no upper age limit, as long as you have the determination and a sense of adventure!

Call us on 01904 500094 or email us at to discuss what we can do for you.

Additional Info

We will provide you with all the equipment you need and our qualified instructors will take care of everything else. You simply need to bring:

  • Comfortable and warm clothes to change into after we come out of the gorge
  • Spending money for tea/snacks
  • Pair of shorts to wear over the wetsuit to protect it
  • Old boots or trainers you don’t mind getting wet (must be closed toe)
  • If you wish to wear something under the wetsuit please make sure it is non-cotton (rash vest, technical hiking ‘T’ shirt or similar)
  • Camera*
  • *We hope you remember your adventures for years to come so it is okay to bring suitable cameras on our activities. However, please be aware that due to the nature of our gorgewalking and canyoning activities, there will be times where we are wading and swimming. Cameras and phones are going to get wet and could get damaged so make sure they are waterproof and protect them sufficiently. You can put your camera in the pocket of your wetsuit or the instructors bag. We cannot however be held responsible for damage or loss of your valuables as this is a demanding activity.

What Our Guests Say

“I thought “This could be the piece de resistance” for our weekend and it really was. That day, all 12 of us came away smiling, tired but happy. It was one of the best 3 hours we’ve done on a stag. I am so very happy to write a positive review for this organisation as this is what getting outdoors is all about.” Anthony CraddockRead more reviews.
