Pateley Bridge

Created by the medieval monks of Fountains Abbey, our Secret Lake is the best kept secret in North Yorkshire. Even locals don’t know of its existence! Hidden among magical woodland, the lake is a truly special place. Just being there fills you with tranquility as there’s not a sound to be heard.

Large and jagged prehistoric rock formations nestle within the ancient woodland on the water’s edge. The views on the water are mesmerising, accessible only via canoeing and paddle boarding. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to learn new skills, test existing skills and get closer to nature in one of the best locations in Yorkshire.

Killington Lake

Killington lake is actually in Cumbria, but it’s only 25-mins drive from Ingleton in the Western Yorkshire Dales, so it’s perfect if you want to combine your paddling session with canyoning, caving or climbing nearby.

This venue is ideal for small and large groups and suitable for all levels.
